You need to have the following materials and tools on hand before you even begin with the installation process:

• 1.Prepare the Area :To get started, prepare the installation section. Remove any wreckage or object, and make the area tidy Imported Photos Watch out for exposed nails or electrical wiring, if you are working in an attic or crawl space.
• 2. Score & Snap the Insulation :Measure how much space you need to fill, with a tape measure. Remove the reflective bubble insulation and cut it to size using a pair of scissors or utility knife make sure you have a few extra inches of space at each end.
• 3. Install in Attics :
  Attic Floor:
  • • Place the insulation in between your attic floor joists, right on top of them with reflective side up.
  • • Where the edges of each piece come together, overlap them by a few inches to form an unbroken barrier.
  • • Staple the insulation in place making it tight and free from any voids.
  
  Attic Rafters:
  • • Insulation is fastened to the part of the roof rafters that are facing downwards, checkered side out.
  • • Staple the insulation in place every few inches across an even grid to cover one complete side.
  • • Use aluminum foil tape to seal the seams, as air will leak in.


• 4. Install in Walls :
  Exterior Walls::
  • • The insulation is cut to the length between the wall studs.
  • • Place the insulation in between wall cavities with reflective side facing towards interior of conditioned space.
  • • Insulating the wall with a staple gun onto studs.
  • • Use aluminum foil tape around the edges for better insulation efficiency.
  
  Interior Walls:
  • • Same steps as exterior walls, just have the reflector side face outward.
  • • This helps in reflecting heat back into the room and increasing energy efficiency of your system.
• 5. Install in Crawl Spaces :
  Floor Joists::
  • • For the insulation to go between the joists, measure and cut.
  • • Staple the insulation to the joist, reflective side up
  • • Seal all seams with aluminum foil tape.
  
  Crawl Space Walls :
  • • Staple the insulation to the walls of your crawl space with reflective side inward.
  • • Staple the insulation, insuring that it is snug in its place.
  • • Foam Board Seal all the edges and seams with aluminum foil tape.

6. Finishing Touches

After the insulation is in place, check areas that may have gaps or sagging sections exposed edges. If you must, use adhesive spray to stick these corners in place! Also, apply caulk with a caulking gun and seal any spaces around windows or doors - anything that leaks air.
